yet another express bias question

Post by pinkmarkos »

hey everybody- on the express, i am using the 1 ohm resistor method from pin 8 to ground to check the cathode current. i've got it biased where i want it, but i like to switch out tubes occasionally. is there any reason why i can't just leave the resistor in place? does this affect the operation of the tube somehow? thanks for any input

Leave it there. That's why you use a 1ohm resistor.
