Not a huge savings, but you can get the PEC pots at tubesandmore.com for $9.95. Might be able to save on a few other things there too. The prices on some things are better than other places, some not.
Getting ready to build a Rocket combo - the BOM spread sheet is going to be a great help! Thanks.
Just gotta locate the transformers, Toneslut is out of stock on the ones listed.
Thanks again.

Those change have already been made on Version 2.0 which I have not posted yet (I generally wait until there are enough changes to warrant a revision, unless it's a major error).
BTW, if you are a business, you can get the same pots at CE Distribution (Antique Electronics commercial side) for even less....... ($7.95)

I am going to be stocking the standard Trainwreck transformers for the Rocket, Express, and Liverpool amps. I am hopeful to eventually carry all of the "Official Specification" trannies from Heyboer and Pacific, as well as those custom wound for me by EDCOR. I should have Rocket output trannies (Heyboer HTS-8093-1) again within the next couple weeks. In time I'll try to go ahead and supply the Euro-voltage units but that is in the future.
It is my intention to make these trannies available to AGF members at a couple dollars over my cost, until further notice. I want to make sure we all have them available as needed. When Moose is able to carry stock on these again I'll happily give that option back to him. I cannot say enough kind things about his dedication, service and price.
Ron, would you mind adding me to the BOM as a supplier of trannies?
thanks,
rj

No problem, but Chris / Moose / Toneslut will remain on there as well.RJ Guitars wrote:[

Send me the part numbers for the Pacific trannys so that I have it correct.

Ron, That is a good plan and I will send folks to Toneslut as a first resource and then supply Heyboer trannies as a backup to his existing efforts.Ron Worley wrote:No problem, but Chris / Moose / Toneslut will remain on there as well.RJ Guitars wrote:[

Sounds good.
Again, do you have the Pacific tranny numbers so that I can correctly add them to the BOM as well???

Yes, I talked with Pacific at length about the appropriate part and they verified these numbers for me.Ron Worley wrote:Sounds good.

How about a Pacific Liverpool OT part number? That's the one transformer I've not had from Pacific yet and would like to try next time I do a Liverpool build.RJ Guitars wrote:Part #25475 - Power Transformer

Re: All Trainwreck BOM's updated again- V2.0
Paulster,
I'll ask Pacific about that. I just picked up the last two vintage Pool trannies that Moose had and they just arrived today. I have four buyers asking for them so no doubt it's a needed item.
I also talked with Phil at Heyboer this morning about the vintage trannies for an Express and Liverpool. *Interesting Note - He told me that those two trannies use a slightly different wire size and in order for him to wind me a dual secondary, then the 5.2K tranny would be a bit different than a pure 5.2K. So I went with two different transformers.
I'll talk to the engineering folks at Pacific and see what they have to say about this.

Re: All Trainwreck BOM's updated again- V2.0
That's how I prefer it. The last thing I want is unused primaries coiled up in an amp as it's asking for noise/oscillation issues, especially in something as fickle as a Wreck. And if you cut them off you may as well have bought a single primary in the first place. Buy the right transformer for the job I say!RJ Guitars wrote:Interesting Note - He told me that those two trannies use a slightly different wire size and in order for him to wind me a dual secondary, then the 5.2K tranny would be a bit different than a pure 5.2K. RJ-
If possible, can you provide the appropriate Pacific PN's for the Liverpool and the Rocket?

I have inquiries into both Pacific and Heyboer for transformer data. I will be stocking the Trainwreck specification trannies from both companies and will provide the part numbers etc. as soon as I have it all together.
I have Express tranny sets with (120V primary only) from Pacific. I have also requested tranny info on the Liverpool and Rocket and I have not ordered any stock on these yet. If they are available, I will eventually add them as a stocked item.
I have also opened up an agreement with Heyboer to supply their transformers. I have both power and output trannies on order for all of the Wreck style builds, but only in US voltages at this time.
Currently I am exploring the options and need for a Euro friendly tranny that I can stock. Heyboer does have a multi-tap Euro-voltage (220, 230, 240) power tranny that I plan to add to the standard stock.
The standard US voltage power trannies are also on order now as well as the vintage spec output trannies.
I will get you part numbers and an update in the near future.
Thanks,
rj
