I thought this would be useful for all those first time builders... so I'll post my build progress here and show all my mistakes, so people can learn from.
I learned a lot for this forum, so I thought I should give something back... not much but it's from the heart
Let me just say... this is my first D style amp build and let me tell you something... it's not easy. My respect to all who already did this... not to mention people who are doing it all the time.
I bought a Ceriatone kit but without the trannies.... I got those form my local amp tech (he has a guy making trannies for his hifi amps...)
First... I mounted all HW and did the heaters (I decided to go with Marshall style), tough job wiring heaters, it helps to do this outside the chassis first and then move it in... I did it the hard way of course.

2.) Tone stack pots, switches and input jacks (I did the jacks outside and then move them in)... it was a very slow process but it was fun (at least for me)
PS: Let me know if you spot something fishy

Thanks for posting this. Haven't seen too many build progress threads here.
I am thinking of building a 50W #124 using a Ceriatone chassis and boards, going to source out all the other parts. Is the chassis aluminum, how do you like it?

Yes the chassis is aluminum and it looks nice and sturdy to me. I already own an Overtone and till now, it didn't brake or anything like that.
