Choke in D'Lite 44

Post by Structo »

I bought a choke the other day for my D'Lite 44 (6L6).

It's a Hammond 194B 4H @ 90ma.

The DC resistance checks out at 100 ohms.

Currently I have a 330R choke resistor in the amp.

Will I have to adjust the dropping string with this choke in place of the resistor? (I'm thinking so but wanted to check).

Right now I have the stock 1K, 22K, 2K2 and a 150K FET sim resistor.

Will it be safe to power it up to measure voltages?

Thanks
Tom

Don't let that smoke out!

Bump the 1k to a 3K and all should be good. Leave it in even if you change your mind and remove the choke.
