Dumbleized twin reverb problem

Post by kyle31 »

I recently dumbleized my twin reverb. The clean channel works perfectly. I actually like it more than I liked the twin. I also removed the reverb and vibrato.

The overdrive circuit works and sounds ok but my Level pot does not work. I can turn it 0- 10 with no audible change. The only way to change the gain is the trimmer.

I have tried 2 pots of different values (100k and 250k) and nothing has changed.

Any ideas what the problem could be?

Pics would help but it sounds like a grounding problem.

The pot lug that's supposed to be grounded is definitely grounded.

I had a lot of little problems like that on my Super Twin conversion. Mostly circuit or wiring errors. I just went through the portions of the circuit in question and traced it out, wire-by-wire, comparing to the schematic.
