Pun intended......
I see several posts where people could do with some more space in their Dumbles... some want to fit a D-lator, other a reverb etc. etc. - all which could easily (?) be remedied by a slight increase in height and inch in depth.
Somehow it seems that no one wants to stray from the original measures, for some reason? ( OK- I do know there are some "Dumble" chassis being made...)
The Dumbles are pretty high gain in total, compared to a lot of other amps....is moving tubes closer together a particularly bad idea?
Reason I ask, is that I'm planning for a couple of builds, but I cannot start the actual build until new year some time ( moving house soon ,- and lots of daytime work). In the mean time, I can source components and build a chassis or two. I was thinking of laying out some form of universal chassis to fit both 50 and 100W builds........
( I have a full blown mech shop at my disposal, and a collegue who is a magician alu TIG welder.....)
EDIT: Is a 50W Bluesmaster just a silly idea?
Does size matter

Re: Does size matter
At least a few folks (me included) has built in Dumbleator with good results. Guess you would have to try the reverb in a head as I have not heard of anyone doing it. 50w is good, 100w is better they say...Aurora wrote:Pun intended......
