Friends does this look correct. I have graphically re-worked things. I will knot the new cord and new strain releif, I will put the ground wire to a tranny bolt.

Re: grounding a Super
Get rid of the polarity switch, death cap, etc. Insert the new 3 conductor cord and hook the hot to the fuse, neutral to the PT tap, and ground to it's own chassis ground point.
Eardrums!!! We don't need no stinkin' eardrums!
hot to fuse
i think thats what i have show. Does it matter if the hot goes to the fuse tip or body??

Re: hot to fuse
Hot should always go to the back of the fuse. That way, you don't have a live, uncovered piece of metal at the front when the fuse is pulled out.angelodp wrote:i think thats what i have show. Does it matter if the hot goes to the fuse tip or body??

Matt
ok changed it
I now have the hot to the back of the fuse and switch to the front. This should be good to go?

New grounding done
Ok here it is. Am I ok with this. The neutral is spliced to the tranny black wire. The Hot is on the back of the fuse an ground is on a lug.

Re: grounding a Super
Looks perfect to me.
EDIT: One thing: you should probably swap the wires on the fuse holder so the hot is at the far end. Otherwise, when you remove the fuse, you risk touching the hot supply.

switched the wires
Ok its done, thanks for the input. i did switch the wires on the fuse... damn dislexia gets me sometimes. But man she sings sweet now. Hum way down with the new grounded plug. sweeeeet.
