presence control

Post by andrew »

I have a two El-84 build and I would like a presence control with a feedback resistor rather than a cut control. I tried both the Ceriatone Liverpool style and the Liverpool style found in the Trainwreck Files and neither of them work at all on this amp. I built a two el84 Liverpool awhile back and used the TW File presence control and it worked fine. I'm using a 100k feedback resistor. Anyone have any suggestions?

I think the Express presence is much more effective.

if its that brite and overtone-ish..... you might want to think about applying
caps across plate resistors ...... 250 p to .001....... to limit bandwidth a bit
just had to do the same on one of mine to limit the top end... it helps

I lowered the FB resistor from 100k to 33k and now it works. Thanks!
