A pile of BOM

Post by Ron Worley »

OK, I knuckled under and worked all three BOMs to get them clean and ready for the board.

Please use these versions rather than any other I've posted- lots of improvements on all three.

Feel free to note any errors on any of them.

Edit: Updated all versions 2 June 08, minor corrections on Express, more on the Liverpool, and a lot on the Rocket.

Thanks for all your work on these, Ron! It's much appreciated from the overworked and overtired that you're saving a ton of time for!

Does the Express BOM list the best quality parts that are relatively available? I dont want to go hunting down nos parts or stuff at antique radio shows. I just want to build an amp with the best possible componets, within reason.

I built my BOMs based on the wisdom from the forum and from best commercially available. Where there is a particular KF type part (i.e. the "greenie" resistors on the power tube sockets, I note it as a comment (but provide a readily available part from Mouser or Allied).

Opinions on parts are like assholes, everyone has one... I just tried to give people a good starting point to get over the overwhelming task of sourcing parts. YMMV..... :D

Hi Ron (and everyone else)

First time poster here.. Hello, and thanks for all that wonderful information in this forum :D

I think there is a tiny error in the Express BOM. On the sheet with 'Capacitors' you got the same Supplier PN for the 500pf and the 47pf caps. The number for the 500Pf cap should be 862-0551.

Peter-

Good catch... all three BOMs have the same error.... Your eyes start to cross after staring at these things after a while....

I have updated my copies, and will post new versions when I have a few more corrections / suggestions.

All BOMs now with version numbers. Numerous updates on corrected part numbers, quantities, etc. per inputs from the forum.

Thanks, Ron!

I'm going to be ordering my Rocket parts today!

Oh hey, you mispelled Lonely in the BOM. It's LONE ly.

Lots of people swap the E and the L...which was a PITA when they were trying to send me Pay Pal. :)

Not that it really matters, as I've only got a couple faceplates and logos left anyways, and I'll probably be putting them up on evilbay.
