Can anyone identify what this amp is based on?

Post by APryor »

Hi I recently brought this amp but not sure what it is or what it could be based on. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Look like a Hammond organ starting point to me, especially the transformer set!

In looking at your photos again I now think that judging by the transformer set and that type of circuit turret board used that at least these parts may be out of a Univox / Japanese made amp from the mid 60s to mid 70s.

I have 3 Univox amps that they built for the American company called Lafayette and labeled as such, and your amps internals I mentioned look like that in my big 2-12” model I have.
