Placement of components

Hi Guys, I have a cool little amp that I am working on and I just jury rigged a cut control on this hi-gain SE amp. Problem is I have run out of space for the pot..... unless I re-organize the on/off switch to go under the on/off light and then use the hole for the vox/cut pot. The vox/cut pot would be hovering just above the on/off switch. I can safety the switch with layers of shrink wrap and completely isolate it so its safe. Question, is that fool hardy and will that placement of the AC switch so close to the cut pot cause issues? Honestly there is no other spot for this pot..... and it works great, really great.

Before drilling any holes just temporarily mount the pot very close to the power switch. Then you'll know if it will work.
