Bell 305D amp question

Post by fester »

Hello,
I am new here and seeking info about an early Bell amp I have. It is a Bell 305D in a cabinet that looks to be right out of the 1950's. The speaker pulls out of the cabinet and has a long cord. Remarkable condition for it's age. I can find almost no information searching on line, so I am turning to the experts here. I intend to sell it. I have seen other Bell amps on e-bay and they seem to be desirable. I would figure it would need a full restoration. What would this have been used for and what would it be worth? Thanks in advance for all replies. [im

There doesn't seem to be MUCH about it on the web, all I can find is another post here:

And it seems like they've got a gut shot. I would guess, that replacing those electrolytics, if they've not been replaced, would be mandatory. also adding a 3 prong power cord would be pretty smart IMO. Clean out the pots and it would likely be good for another 40 years or so :P
