Filter Cap Interference
I'm designing the turret board layout for my next amplifier and to make the layout easier I want to place a Filter Cap right next to a grid leak resistor for a gain stage. Does anyone forsee interference being an issue? The cap and resistor will possibly be touching.

Re: Filter Cap Interference
I have run the plate load resistors legged right off the filter caps with the coupling caps etc and had grid leaks next to all that and it worked just fine. Maybe it’ll work for you.

Generally, you don't want to put a cap next to anything that gets hot, but a grid leak resistor won't get hot...
If the cap is an electrolytic, then the aluminum can will likely be electrically connected to the "-" terminal (probably ground) so there's a risk of shorting. See the sticky at the top of this subforum.

Re: Filter Cap Interference
Thanks for the responses. I'm going to move it to a better place
Re: Filter Cap Interference
It won’t do any harm. If the resistor is appropriately power-rated, it won’t get hot enough to bother the filter cap.
