$5 find
BC AUDIO has nothing on this builder
. Took a chance and purchased from a deceased estate. Figured it is worth it for the tubes and PT + OT.
With I received it, this is what I found. At least the tubes all tested strong. And transformers seem fine.

Looks like someone's been in there judging by those Orange drop caps!
So it's octal preamp tubes and looks like 5881 output tubes?

Going to strip it for spares. Output is 2x 6v6 and 5Y3 recto. I think it is some sort of attempt at a 5E3 type circuit

Re: $5 find
Why’d he have to go and hide the diamond plate on the inside? Amp would have sounded 20% more badass with it on the outside.

Nice find, certified Screamin™ deal at $5.
Inside is a bit...claustrophobic. Looks like my parts bin.
I'd strip it too. Nice diamond plate chassis.

Re: $5 find
Maybe I could reverse bend the chassis (inside out)? Then rebuild into a head version of the Tweedle Dee

Re: $5 find
No, you don't want to do that, it will split at every bend. I'd leave the chassis as is, looks plenty tough.
For $5 that's a heckuva "parts car." You scored dude!
