Gibson Footswitch Dimensions (for Crestline Falcon)

Post by inertian »

Looking to build a repro footswitch for a '63 Gibson Falcon, looking for the physical shell dimensions. Know the cabinet's footswitch bracket has an inner width of 2.5", so I'm guessing the pedal width is that or slightly less. Length of about 5"?

Thanks.

Which model is that the one with a slightly angled control panel , or level?
Gibson many times was very cheap when they made a foot switch and just used a scrap of build wood from the amp .
Some of the single foot switches I have seen are barely able to house the switch itself and look like nothing much more then a hardware store door stop!
When I die, I want to go like my Grandfather did, peacefully in his sleep.
Not screaming like the passengers in his car!

It's 2.325 by 4.325. The thickness tapers from around 1.625 to 0.75 with a couple of edges rounded as shown in the photo above.

I can take more detailed photos of mine if they'll be helpful.
