100w amp & FOUR 4x12 CABS or more @ 4 ohms

Having a discussion about a 100w Marshall 2203 amp handling multiple cabs.
How many speakers can the amp handle, if the amp "see's" 4 ohms
at the output does it even care how many speakers there are?

Majors and 100s used to have 4 outputs. In the days of 25-30w speakers it was a tighter sound because the speakers arent being tortured. It's thumpier.

My 69 SB and 71 SL both have four speaker output jacks. Yes, I've set it to 4 ohms and hooked up four 16 ohm cabs and hit the obligatory power chord. You can get used to it, trust me.
