Chassis Issue

Post by lpd »

I have a Dumble CE chassis and two of the welded nuts to mount the chassis into the cab popped. Tried to weld bond no avail. Any suggestions? I was thinking chimney nuts like on the old school traynors but can’t find any locally. Regards

If there is clear chassis below where that nut use to go then get a long enough machine screw to pass thru to the underside of the chassis, drill a exit hole for it and use a nut with a captured washer on the underside.
If you are concerned about crushing the chassis and or guiding in the new long bolt then get some Aluminum tubing bigger then the bolt size ,cut it to close to the needed lenght use Goop ( glue / contact cement) to hold it in place.
