Impedance switch

I will this work for a impedance switch? I don't see any rating on the box

I think that a non-shorting type may be better but as it's unlikely / not recommended to operate it whilst the amp is working, probably doesn't matter.
Not sure if the contacts are adequate for a 100 watter, should be ok for <20 though.

That switch is only rated for 1.5 amps at 28 volts and a 60 watt rms amp will run 2.74 amps into a 8 ohm diver, so no ,I would say do not use it!

It's for 20watt cathode biased el 84amp

The current carrying capacity of switch contacts may be much greater than the max current they're rated to switch, eg 5A cf 150mA http://www.lorlin.co.uk/PDF/CK.pdf

I'm a fan of this switch.

I've used it in several builds, including a 100w Dumble.

^ + 1 and apparently those are NKK which explains why they look and feel good. So common and reasonable price that I thought they were some cheap generic thing.
