IEC filters
I got some of these IEC filters from Steve at apex anyone using them? There's is a switch on them what it for? I just removed the switch do I need it? Are these Any better than a plain.inlet what the advantages? Thanks mark
Re: IEC filters
I use them, and just cut the switch off (it's just a power switch, and unless you want to cut a rectangular hole in your chassis, forget it). Since I normally don't get hash or ugly noise from wall AC thru amp, I don't really care about the filtering. I just like them because they're made of metal and far sturdier than the plain plastic ones!
I build and repair tube amps. http://amps.monkeymatic.com
Re: IEC filters
Thanks xtain, and yes they do seems nice and sturdy I picked up some from apex just to fill the minimum order, and the the Power Switch is kinda cool but I have a Bridgeport i can use at work, I have a old ss 1 10 cab that's up next and a switch in the back should work out well. Mark
