suggestions for a clean-only amp

Post by stevlech »

Which schem would you guys recommend for a clean channel? I'm thinking of whatever preamp into a Fender style reverb into a Dumble style power amp w/ 6l6's. Here's what I'm looking at: 70's (modded Fender values/ no skyliner) 80's (Fender values/ skyliner) or Hybrid A values and skyliner EQ

Any advice is appreciated. I promise to show my work for once :D

https://tubeamparchive.com/download/file.php?id=1583 has clean overtones to die for and was a relatively easy build - I would not hesitate to build this exact amp again, of course one thing that really helps get a good clean tone is using a D130 JBL.

Thank you, sir. It looks like Hybrid A with a modified reverb is the way to go. :)
