new build #40 - question about 180k resistor in OD section

Post by dinkotom »

Forgive the probably silly question. By mistake I soldered 180K resistor to the OD2 cathode and not to ground (long story  ), and the amp still sounds good. Just for curiosity I'd like to know what does it do to the circuit if it's connected that way?
Here's the original schem, just imagine that 180K is on the OD2 cathode:

When no signal is present, the cathode sits at a low positive voltage (1-2 Volts). Shouldn't do much, though.
For signals the cathode is at AC ground for all but very low frequencies. I would correct it anyway, just to have it correct.
