Helping a friend of a friend...... He's got a Mercury FBFDR-OM OT that came with no documentation. According to Mercury's website the secondaries are 2,4 and 8 ohm but I can't find any info on which color is which tap....
Anyone?
Thanks

Well black is the ground / common, so use a ohm meter to figure out the taps, the 8 ohm tap will read ,71 ohms pretty mush and the 4 ohm tap will be in the ,5 ohm range, and then the 2 ohm tap will be even less.
If you carefully pump 120 volts into the primary brown and blue wires the tap with the highest voltage will be the 8 ohm tap and then the other 2 will out put less.
If you want to do this a safer way than take the amps filament voltage and pump it into the secondary of the OT and look for the reverse of the voltages I posted up before!
