Anyway, here are some fancy phone processed photos - I will change them for something cleanish later. Just forgot to save the originals.
Some of the obvious differences - head format, turret board, I will add VVR (and the pot is already installed), since as the others noted - this is one LOUD amp. The build turned out not too clean, as all the other great builds posted already - but sounds excellent and has no noise whatsoever. I hate these (strangely) forked turrets and having around 30-40 left is one of the reasons, I build that one, but my utter disgust in working with them shows off
Now pictured with the russian 6p6s tubes, which I quite like the sound of (and for 6$ a piece for a '67 production tube - you can't go wrong - I got another 4 sets - just in case
Tube complement for the sound bytes below is:
- V1- either RFT 12AX7, JJ ECC83S or Marshall ECC83 (which looks from Chinese origin to me)
- V2 - Sovtek 12AX7 LPS
- Power tubes - either JJ 6V6s or 6P6S
- Rectifier - TAD GZ34

Sound bytes (everything recorded through a 4x12" cab, albeit the amp sounds more open and punchy through my 1x12" open back cabs - and esp. with the WGS C12 speaker. I just felt too lazy to move the recording rig. Now these are either through a V30 or ToneTubby's Hempcones - can't remember which one's where in the cab).
Apart from reverb and delay (on some tracks only), not other sound processing has been performed. No EQ, Compressors, or other stuff.
I found that lower output pickups (both singles and humbuckers) tend to sound much better with this amp.

Overall I am very happy with how it turned out. Now waiting for some ECC803 JJs to explore the sounds with them, but I consider it ready for a head shell now
Thanks again to Charlie for the great contribution and all the others,
Niki
