Very nice Jelle love your neat builds.

I was thinking instead of formica I could use one of those wood graining tools staining a natural or yellow garolite board

Congrats mate. Always a good feeling when they start up first time :D. Very tidy build. Why is it sort of a JTM45?

Layout and parts values are very different. This one has a great acoustic clang and ring to the tone, and is very throathy in the low mids. :D

Jelle, do you laminate two layers of formica together?

No, I use single layer, and use a backing board. Just like the fenders.
