Cool! There is a Janis Joplin stamp planned for 2014 too.

Buy one and spend your money on something that really lasts instead.
Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

Needs a truss rod adjustment, badly. :D In spite of that I'll have to glom a sheet or two of these.

I used to like the Richard Nixon stamp. Lady behind the counter asked "why, are you a fan of his?" Me: "No, I like to see CANCELLED across his image."

You know I watched a documentary on Jimi,a few really.I always feel like telling the acid heads that want to ramble on about his super powers just to shut up and let us watch what we played the dam video for.We just want to watch him play.He was so amazing but they waste so much video time on these low wattage acid heads sputin shit like he is on another planet and could time travel and so on.To watch him play is just the coolest thing. He really made playing guitar the coolest thing in the world. So many of the greats today say that seeing JH was the end,Hands down he just killed it.Yea I want to get some stamps too. Thanks for sharing.

Jimi didn't trust the federal government. And they didn't trust him. He was on the FBI watch list, and the CIA list while in England.

Now "they" put his image on a stamp, purely for their benefit to promote the miserably failed bureaucracy that is the USPS.

No thank you. I'll listen to his music, and read the liner notes, instead.

That idea already came, and thank goodness went. 5 cents "postage" per email was discussed in US congress at the height of the spam epidemic @ 12-14 years ago. Also to offset the loss of biz to the USPO.

For stamps, now I'm awaiting the Jim Morrison commemorative. Gives a whole new meaning to "Zip" code...

Would envelopes with Pig Pen and Jerry Garcia go straight to the Dead Letter Office?

The TAG brain trust will doubtless think up some others.

Haha! I hear ya! I'm getting married in July, and apparently people still expect to get invitations in the mail... they respond online, but we have to pay to print some cheesy photo invite and then snail-mail them to like 100 house-holds. I thought quick and easy online event invites was the whole point of facebook... What am I putting up with all these boring pics of peoples' kids for if not for saving money on postage when I finally get married?

Oh pipe down. It's dried mucilage made of boiled-up cow hooves. Much like hide glue that holds your Gibson necks on.

Unless you got the self-stick stamps, then who knows what that stuff is. Velcro for mice.

Email, how 20th century.

Snail mail how 19th century.

Smoke signals, now that's communication!
