Dog House - Did You Know...

... that you can actually buy these things??? Don't know if they're a perfect fit for a restore (how the hell'd you go loose that!) but for a new build it sure would give a sharp look.

This is where I'm envious if you guys in the EU. TAD's chassis and faceplates look awesome, but shipping is cost-prohibitive.

I used one in a recent build I got from Mojo. It was an afterthought, as i goofed the layout and couldn't fit the cap board inside, so I gave it a shot and it worked great!

TAD ones look like the originals, stamped not folded. I guess any place that sells orig Fender service parts would have them. Maybe AES. Opens up a new world of cap placement I've avoided till now.

AES has been selling 3 sizes for years, two stamped, one fabbed like your pic.

Mojo has the stamped ones too. Used one on a repair/restore a month or so ago. Fit an early 70's twin chassis perfectly.

I do agree though......

"How the hell you lose that"?

Yes I get those dog houses from USA vendors and have three hanging on my peg board for future builds.

I order from Germany very often because they have great Fender style faceplates like my brown Tremolux.

I had no problem paying the freight to get the correct 10mL pot for my Fender Pro 6g5 rebuild as well. :) I tried to find one in USA easier to just order and pay. :)
