custom chassis

Post by TUBEDUDE »

Greetings citizens
I am looking for a source to obtain custom chassis. I have been using weber and other chassis and punching out extra tube socket holes etc. But I need more real estate for boards than these chassis will allow. I tried to make one on a steel plate, as I don't have a brake or welder, just a drill press and some Greenlee punches. It was far too much work and required building a custom box also. I prefer to spend the time I have designing the circuits, board layouts, and troubleshooting. Now that fire has eliminated one more source, do any of you have a recommendation? Thank you in advance.

i just purchased a chassis from this guy, he makes great angled front Fender style chassis from aluminum. He also does the earlier tweed chassis too i believe.

I have purchased from Terry Naugler at Seaside Chassis, in Nova Scotia. I send a PDF drawing of what I want, and he fixes me up:

His chassis' are folded and screwed.

There was a discussion recently of my other source, Dirty Dawg Amps in the States, saying that his shop burned down. Here's pictures:

His chassis' were alumiwelded.

Others may give more sources. I'm pleased with Terry.
