Prince with a Fro
I stumbled on this while surfing.

He is a very good guitarist.
One of his early guitars reminded me of a certain douchebag by the name of Romeo.

He is quite a badass and flies under the radar.

I didn't know Foxy Brown played guitar?

Re: Prince with a Fro
A local luthier built Prince a nice electric guitar quite a few years back.
I thought that guitar in the photo was white maybe he has more then just of that model.
I wonder which amp tech he is beating up on these days around Minneapolis.

He had several and gave a bunch away that were similar.

Very good is an understatement, he's great on any of the instruments he plays and is one hell of a drummer as well. He looked like he was having fun here.

Yeah Prince is a true guitar hero. I've always appreciated his restraint and ability to build up a solo so well.

Well . . . I will admit to not having been exposed to much live stuff of his, but what I've heard has struck me as generic, blaring, stadium-rock lead guitar cliche stuff, for the most part. Half the "here's my new amp; excuse the shitty playing" clips that guys here post are more impressive to me.
Re: Prince with a Fro
All I know is you don't wanna play basketball against him.

No. The internet made him go back to a name that can be spelled with the alphabet. It would be hard to change over to symbol page 3 on a phone for superstar wingdings.
Favorite Prince songs are DMSR, Controversy, Computer Blue, Sign of the Times, and The Beautiful Ones.
I agree the playing is manic and fragile and the artist is also manic and fragile. That's ok. I am not listening to music for virtuoso beat downs. If I want that I watch Bernstein conjure spirits.

Saw him last weekend at Mohegan Sun Casino. The first half of the night he didn't even play guitar! Then for the second set he played a Vox guitar. Ended the night with Purple Rain. He didn't play my two favorite songs; Controversy and Head.
