This has been kicking around my basements for 20+ years. It works but I already have 4 yba-1's lurking somewhere.
So my thought was to just rewire it to something new. And after someone on here hipped me to the West amp site I've been thinking about the Avalon but with maybe 6L6's. I know it's pretty much a Fender circuit but I've kinda been into them lately. I really like the thought of a simple loud clean amp.
I was going to just rewire it with a few new parts but I know it will end up being totally gutted and redone.
I'm looking at a YBA-4 chassis but I'm seeing a West Avalon

I really like that design, and thanks for hippin me to West. I like the paralleled stage with no TS.

thanks, the parallel stage is all tweed twin with some changes I made. The rest is all West. Here are their other schematics.Smokebreak wrote:I really like that design, and thanks for hippin me to West. I like the paralleled stage with no TS.

Well it got gutted and cleaned up.
I changed the bias circuit to more of a marshall style. Waiting for some parts.
