Using resistors with pots in a SSH-pickup guitar?

I'm setting up a Strat with 2 single coils and bridge humbucker and want to use the standard Strat 5-way pickup selector switch. However, I'd love to use just one Volume Pot for all 3 pickups and really prefer to have a 500k Vol Pot value for humbuckers, and 250K Vol Pot value for singles...

Is it possible to use one 500K pot and use resistors in some fashion so that the single coils "see" 250K, or a 250K Vol Pot and resistors so that the humbucker "sees" 500K? I'd love to avoid two Volume controls on this particular guitar if at all possible...

Wishful thinking, or is this a possibility?

I have a couple strats with the Lone Star wiring.
It was Fender's HSS model Strat.

I can't remember the value of the volume pot but it's probably 250K.
Try both a 250K and 500K and decide which you like.

It uses a five way super switch, a little more $ than the stock switch.

The Dial a Tap configuration uses a standard switch.


Switch Position 1: Bridge Pickup (Both Coils)
Switch Position 2: Bridge + Middle Pickups (Bridge Pickup Tapped)
Switch Position 3: Middle Pickup
Switch Position 4: Neck + Middle Pickups
Switch Position 5: Neck Pickup

What about changing the wafer in a stacked pot so you have 250k/500k with a super switch?
