Peavey Road Master Hack-Rebuild Project

This is a great sounding amp but I don't play professionally and do not need all the power of this amp. What I want to do is down size the amp to about 35 watts. I have some Iron in that range that is currently powering EL34's and previously came from an amp that had 7686 tubes. A Mcgohen PA amp.

Another alternative would be to use some Univox 1221 Iron that is currently powering 2 6L6 tubes at a dubious 100 watts. That power supply uses a doubler circuit with a B1+ at 660 V and a B2+ of 320 V. Link: http://www.freeinfosociety.com/electron ... ox1221.pdf

A switch to 6550's would also be possible since I've got plenty of parts.

Suggestions?? Comments??

I have reasonable build skills and have worked at this for about a 1 1/2 years now.
