Brown Note?

Okay, what's the scoop currently on Brown Note kits? From all I've heard, comments & clips, they're really nice amps but then I've heard horror stories about actually getting the kits - money lost, no way to contact, etc. Isn't the guy's name Moss? Is he still around? I've recently read of folks building them so is that an indicator that all's well in Brown Note land?

I have a buddy that really wants to build one and he's heard similar things. Think it's okay to order, or should he look elsewhere?

I built a Brown Note kit many years ago and think that I may have been one of the last people to have a positive experience with Moss's customer service. I was bummed to see his reputation free fall on these forums. He had a great product with good documentation and a very helpful forum. I suspect he had supply and operating capital issues. I do not know anything about Brown Note currently.

Thanks, fellas. I think my buddy has decided on a Mojo Marshall 18 watter anyway. But I do appreciate the info. Too bad about Moss. I wouldn't mind building one of those myself. But I think an ODS is in my future . . some day.
