Fender Concert Vibrato as a pedal.

Recently got to play a 60-something Fender Concert, and the vibrato is mesmerizing. I recently picked up a very small transformer used in the Soldano GTO pedal and got to thinking I could use it to make a clone of the vibrato as a stomp box.

This transformer was used to power two 12ax7's, with 300 v primary, but I don't want to waste one tube on the LFO section.

What I was thinking is to have a standard gain stage, two triodes for the filters, and then the final triode as a cathode follower. Perhaps with enough gain in the first stage to introduce some distortion.

For the LFO's (actually one LFO with an out of phase signal), I was thinking of using an Arduino. It might be cool to have the ability to upload new waveforms via USB, and maybe mimic the rise and fall of the Univibe Lamp/LDR combos.

By using an Arduino, it should also be possible to implement tap-tempo and multiple waveform selection.

I feel like I've taken a lot more than I have given to the board, so if this seems like something interesting, I would be willing to document the build and provide the software (something I'm actually good at) for free to anyone that would want to build one.

Would anyone be interested in something like this?

Take a look at the Gibson GAV-1 this is very close to what you are talking about. While the packaging is a little odd, it could surely be modified.

From that thread, it looks like the EH Tube Wiggler has everything I want. I guess I'll find another use for the transformer.
