Looking for 20AWG / 18AWG solid 600V PVC

Post by Super_Reverb »

Where do you guys get your wire for builds. I have always used stranded wire, but I'd like to use solid wire in my present Rocket build. Plan is to us 20AWG for signal and 18AWG for heaters.

thanks,

rob

I got mine from MB Electronics, it's listed in the Express BOM, haven't looked a the Rocket BOM but it might be there as well...18AWG might be tight for those 9 pin sockets, 20 will do fine..

Check Radio Daze. I get all of my wire from them.

Looks like Radio Daze has only 22ga solid hookup wire. I'd like to go 20ga.

McMaster Carr might be a good resource for you too.

Rob,

MB Electronics does have the 20 solid sold in 25 or 100 ft spools.

I like to use top coat wire. Valvestorm has it in amp building quantities--the Plexi amp bundle of various colors is more than enough to build an amp.

+1 on that. Sold by the foot (or roll). Rock bottom prices. Good color selection. It is best to make a phone call to speak directly with Steve.
