Watkins Dominator cabinet build Ever seen these?

This was quite the project! I had never heard or seen one of these before (still haven't) but I had a custom order for one and started doing some research. Then I designed and built this over the past couple weeks just finished it today. I just think this is too cool!

So who has experience with a Watkins Dominator?!?! It appears to have been a very iconic amp!! Does anyone have one?

This cabinet will house 2x10" on the bottom, 2x8" on the top, a 5E3 deluxe chassis with a custom circuit. Its very different than the originals, but we weren't going for an exact clone.

Yup it's the amp Marshall copied for their 18w amp.

Wow that's a combo....I thought at first it was just a speaker cab for it. Nice work dude. That front corner musta been a b-iaaatch to get right. Looks great though. Very retro.

Oh yeah, its a combo! It took awhile to get the mitre angle correct at the front but after that was figured out the other angles were easy. I plan on making some more of these, I think it would be cool to get a pair of celestion blues and throw my Rocket in the back, I'm not sure if I would even have to change the dimensions....this one is taller than the originals because of the extra speakers. It maybe tough with those big transformers though

Thanks for all the kind words guys, I had to show this off. With some modern covering material and fancy cloth this would look even cooler.

Oh that blue tolex has been discontinued for two years!! That's the last of it, direct from the tolex factory in Jersey! I had one piece left

Wow, indeed. Fantastic work. If my stuff hadn't shipped out for Italy already I'd have ordered one from you. I'd put a Rocket in it too and get a lot of attention anywhere I showed up w/ it.

Love the blue/white, Vox had a AC15 like that.

18watt.com used to have a complete rebuild documentation but I didn't check lately. If anyone wanted to see lots of restoration pictures.
