Optional Parts and tone differences

So, looking at the schematic for the Liverpool R7 and C8 have optional values. Can someone give me an idea of what the range equates to in terms of tone. I'm not itching to make changes as i have only just finished it, i'd just like to know what either end of the scale sounds like, more gain, crunch, bass, ???
