VVR in a Liverpool

Post by plook »

Has anyone got any notes/pictures/tips on adding VVR to a Liverpool. I have added this to a few amps in the past but it's a year since i built my Liverpool and i'm a bit fuzzy on what is what in there on the power side of things. I have the VVR ready to go in.

I may have a few pics at home but basically I split the 2 x 40uf caps (Or the dual 50uf cap can) and put one on the input to the VVR and the other on the output of the VVR and that is about it. B+ from the Standby Switch to B+ in, B+ out to the OT CT and 25 watt resistor and connect the ground Gnd.

if you scale the whole amp yes. if you do just the power tubes no. it is recomended to use a post pi master to limit the power tube drive if i remember right.
