Hi.
I have a chance to get a pair of these for quite cheap.
N.O.S black plates in original boxes.
It is supposed to be identical to 5U4G.
Anyone used them in your builds?
And what's the "real life" max. input capacitance?
Datasheet for 5y3c claims 4uf, which seems very low to me.
Some 5U4G states 4uf also, but some 32uf.
Any opinions?

It is 40uf for 5U4GB. I'd think it has to be at least 32uf for 5U4G. 4uf makes no sense at at all. I've seen it and think it's a mistake, maybe omitting the 0 in 40? This one says 32uf: http://www.mif.pg.gda.pl/homepages/fran ... /5/5U4.gif and I think that's for a metal can. Here's the Sylvania sheet and it says 40uf. I'd go with that. http://www.mif.pg.gda.pl/homepages/fran ... 5/5U4G.pdf
