Help with channel switching

Post by ckpop »

Hello all,

I am looking for a good channel switching power supply design for a 5v relay and one vactrol VTL5C1.........You may ask why both ? I perfer to use a relay for the signal path and vactrol to make the ground connection of one channel while the other channel is engaged. the vactrol solves a pop issue the diode or cap on the relay does not. Trying to tap off of the filiment supply for the design. This is for a 2 channel Fender.

Thanks

Allyn or Dana sell a switcher board that does what your wanting to do. Doesn't use a vactrol. Same one used in their Komet fast gradual switching. Works off 5v. Quiet switching. With a footswitch jack. I've used it in one build. Has a switch board and a power board. Works great.
