grounding scheme

I have been trying to find info on this in the radio world, but there are numerous arguments against grounding their sets.

Is it doable to set this up for safe grounded three prong operation?

Third prong to ground and you are good.

Great thanks. In a non-polarized two prong set, like this, does the transformer serve to isolate the chassis. What is a scenario on this type of unit where you might get shocked, assuming its in working order in the cabinet, no shorts.

Yes, the transformer completely isolates the primary from the secondary: there is no electrical connection between primary and secondary. Secondary voltage arises from magnetic flux in primary inducing current in the secondary. Secondary behaves like a floating AC source.

Chassis is connected to earth ground (third prong in plug) for safety - in the event that a HV wire accidentially makes connection to chassis.
