Bruno amplifiers - reverb circuit?

Post by pula58 »

I have heard people rave about the reverb in Tony Bruno's "Cowtipper" amplifiers. Anyone ever seen the circuit and can comment?
Schematic??

I love reverb and an interested in alternatives to the Fender AB763 style.
Thanks!

Based on how original most Brunos are, I'd imagine it's the Fender reverb but using an EL84 instead of a 6K6.

I could be wrong though.

the cowtipper stuff is straight up blackface reverb---no changes. the underground 30 is the ac30topboost circuit with the fender standalone unit reverb circuit (with el84 as the driver instead of 6k6/6v6) wedged in for the reverb. rh

That's funny, because I have heard people rave about how special the Bruno Cowtipper reverb is!

Maybe substituting an EL84 into the Fender 6G15 reverb is what makes it special!

Funny how Divided By 13 and Bruno both use cheap panel-mount Alphas as bias pots that are just sort hanging out there. Funny how both are so damned expensive too! For that much I'd take a Komet, with no reverb! :)

If I was the buyer I'd take the komet. If i'm the seller I want to be the Bruno or Divided by 13 - cheap parts and quick work = profit! I can spend on a komet foir myself
