New 18 watt build, opinions on what i should build?

Just finished folding and cutting a new chassis. Been having trouble tho deciding on what to build.
Idea primarily has been 2 hole rocket, and so ive got trannies to suit and a choke, mounted, and a tube rec, 3 preamp sockets.
Ive drilled for 5 controls, wanting to use a master as well.
I have been playing/building octal amps for ages, and have a XITS X10 on backorder, so have not been wanting to build a smaller amp, but my ears are telling me its time NOW to get something slightly less loud than a Komet 60..
The rocket i did and liked ages ago, had a little higher B+ and i had set the string up like an AC30, kinda like what the Doc did with the Z wreck.
SO im in a mind to follow that path, also when i had 2 tubes pulled from my pool, it sounded amazing, i just couldnt do the hiss.
vie tried implementing the Komet circuit with 84's but have not been successful. I really really like the Komet, its a fantastic amp.
That in mind, whats everyone building in this power range?
