70s ODS Fonts

Post by RockNRollDr »

A while back there was a thread in the For Sale/Trade section about doing a period correct 70s ODS chassis. Nothing ever came of it but I remember some people discussing the various fonts used on the chassis. Does anyone have information on the several different types of font used on these amps? I know the front Overdrive Special is Cooper but that's all I have. Thanks.

Thanks for the help! I have the Cooper font and it is spot on. The bitwise font is close but still not what he used. What about the Dumble scriptlike font used on the front face?

Cooper is pretty close, but not 100%.
Cooper Black Italic is what you need.
Dumble-Script is Goudy Lombardic.

Awesome! Thanks guys! I assume that the digital font is a variation of Data 70 or Checkbook, they are close in some respects but some of the letters look italicized. Is there any information on this font? It's the only one left.

Dumble amps from #019 to #075: The font of the labels is not "bitwise", "checkbook" or "Data 70", it is "Auto Mission". #077 has a slightly different font.

This keeps getting figured out over and over. Perhaps a sticky in the Dumble Files section for fonts would help?
