bias wiggle tremolo on paraphase pi ?

Post by andrew »

Hello, I really like bias wiggle tremolo and I would like to have one on my paraphase pi. I used the paraphase from Valve Wizard (not the floating paraphase) http://www.freewebs.com/valvewizard/paraphase.html
How would I connect it? With a LTP the tail resistor is disconnected from the ground and attached to the trem circuit. Thanks for any help.

Not familiar with paraphase invertors, but it doesn't look that much different from a Princeton Reverb. (Obviously a different invertor, but still has a free triode to drive the bias wiggler.)

Build a LFO and try out different ways to inject the tremolo signal.

The old schematic heaven had a bargain bin with all kinds simple trem circuits.
Its over at hoffmans el34 world.

there are a couple old fender vibro schematic that are simple.

I just incorporated bias-wiggle trem into a cathode-biased output stage - same way as you'd do it for a fixed bias output bias-vary trem - i.e.: through the power tube grid load resistors - only thing is you might need to get the trem voltage output swing a little stronger, because the bias voltage swing tends to get a bit 'soaked up' by the power tubes' cathode resistor.

Tremolux 5e9-a. Paraphase + bias wiggle tremolo.
