After seeing Scott's Mini Mixer I started thinking, then opened the garage and pulled some stuff out.
Art Cool Switch A/B/Y pedal
Alesis Multi Mix 8
Alesis Quadraverb (already in the rack)
Some wires
Some Jack Daniels
I connected the loop out >Dumbleator in
Dumbleator effects out > A/B/Y switch in
A out > mixer channel 1
B out > Alesis Quadraverb in
Alesis Quadraverb out > Mixer channel 2
Mixer master out to Dumbleator effects return.
Dumbleator out to loop in.
Confused... here's a pic
Bottom line, I can run the signal through the mixer with no A/D conversion like in the Quadraverb, add effects in the mixer as well and the signal path is actually cleaner.
It works but time will tell how effective this is.

Maybe wait a day or two until the Jack Daniels is gone.

Sorry couldn't resist.

No no no no no.....I remember this one! You have to add a little more Jack Daniels to get the proper effect!!

Re: Trying a different D-Later connection
This is working so well that I modded the D-ulator and added 2 more effect outs in parallel. The CF drives all 3 outs just fine.
I added the TC Electronics Nova Delay parallel to the Quadraverb. In addition there are effects in the mixer that I can add in, pretty basic but effective.

Re: Trying a different D-Later connection
Interesting use of your gear. That is why I like a built-in parallel effects loop. So, much simpler from the standpoint of sound quality, control, and device count. It looks like what you are doing is creating a multi-input parallel effects loop by putting a mixer in the loop. The gear count is overkill, but since you have it already, what the heck?
