Hope this is a quick question
Which brand and model are the correct dumble components I.e. Resistors and caps.
Electrolytics Sprague (discontinued yellow in power supply)
tone caps. Sprague... 716?

Coupling caps were generally 6PS. He used others though.

Mepco most likely. Not in production anymore.

Thank you. I notice the mepco resistors came in alot of fractional values very cool!
Who makes the other resistors? Where they all mepco just carbon comp versus precision?

I don't think they were any particular brand, the carbon films that is. They were not carbon comp, except maybe in the very early ones that preceded ODS#1 or so.

FWIW, I was unable to find any of the old blue-ish Mepco resistors for my #40 build. I used Vishay/Dale RN65s for the plates and I don't seem to have the 'harshness' that a lot of people complain about in the older silver face amps.
Now that might be attributable to something else down the line....but you know....just sayin'....
