Quantity 12 EV12L's? If good, those are hard to turn down.67plexi wrote:A friend of mine wants to do a trade he has a mint peavey deuce 212 4-6l6gc

I don't know if HAD ever used Peavey iron, but I've built 3 amps using VT series chassis and iron. All 3 sound great.
One is a VT60 2x6L6, converted to an HRM high plate Dumble, the second is the same but with reverb using an ECL86, the 3rd is from a VT120 with 4x6L6's. Really solid iron, no heat issues and there's a 24v tap (12-0-12) that can be used for relay supply by taking one 12V tap.
The VT60 reverb is my main gigging amp. Go to the band website at the bottom of this post and give a listen.

Bob, went to your band website. Good playing band. Gigs every 2 or 3 weeks is a pretty good schedule for at part time band.Bob-I wrote:I don't know if HAD ever used Peavey iron, but I've built 3 amps using VT series chassis and iron. All 3 sound great.

12 EV12L"s ????
That's about $1200-1800 worth of speaker and $2400 worth of re-coning if they are bad. Kinda depends on what you're trading for doesn't it?
I've done a lot of trades both for goods and services and IMO, it ALWAYS works better if both parties establish what the value of each item is and trade from that perspective.
