Re: No sound from 18 watt TMB
Ok, so the two wires from the ground by the transformer (going to the 100 uF at lug 1 (first from the left of board) and lug 2 (at the 100R and 8K2) get disconnected? And then I put a ground lug by the 2 input jacks (maybe the side of the chassis?) and ground the buss bar there? There's already a ground from the input jack ground side to the buss bar - does that stay? I'm sorry to be such a moron...I probably should try food service or something simpler.

lpresnall if the amp sounds good don't move anything.
Look at these pix i ground my amps somewhat like this but with just 1 ground lug anywhere close to the input jack works fine, the brownnote shows a couple lugs i just use one, you may have to drill a hole for the lug if you do ruff up the surface of the chassis this will give you a nice ground connection,
As far as why im not real sure im sure some of the other guys around here could
(Ok, so the two wires from the ground by the transformer (going to the 100 uF at lug 1 (first from the left of board) and lug 2 (at the 100R and 8K2) get disconnected?)
just clip the ground wire from buss at transformer side and the clip it from the ground lug by the capcan and re-attach that wire to the buss over by the jacks and solder it to a lug close to the jacks and thats it

Mark, I swear it will be done!
Next amp I'm looking at is an 18 watt lite (hoping for a Dr Z Mini type look) and my goal is total neatness and works the first time! Thanks again for all the help. Now the easy part will be building the cabinet. Woodworking I know!
