I remember when the Pantera first came out. $12500 bucks! Yikes, those suckers were expensive. My parents bought a 3 bedroom home with a pool that year for the same money.

The worst car ever made IMHO was the Audi 100LS. The brake rotors were INBOARD of the CV joints and the double wishbone suspension. Bad. Very bad.

My favorite car that I had was a 1965 Chevelle SS.
Red.
Perfect sized car, weighed about 3,100 lbs.

The guy that I bought it from, blew up the 327.
I had a freshly bored out 283 that I put in it.
M21 Muncie four speed.

Fun car, got 18 mpg if you kept your foot out of it.

Drunk one night and wrapped it around a telephone pole.

Man I miss that car.

All my buddies had 1964-1970 Chevelles.
The coolest one was a 1966 SS with a 402 cui rat motor.
Man did that car haul ass.

I wish mine had looked like this.

But it looked more like this.
I had slotted mags on mine.

Radio delete is my second favorite option. I like everything stripped and hi-po with air. :)

Oh yeah Tom. That's a good one. A buddy of mine's dad bought him a brand new '67 Chevelle SS with the 396 when we were Juniors in HS. The gold and black one. It was a tuff car man.

Cool Chris you would have fit right in around here.

There is a guy that cruises past my house every once in a while that has a red on black '67 SS Chevelle.
From the sound of it he has some big ponies under the hood. Big camshaft.

The guy I knew with the '66 Chevelle with the 402 (bored over 396) could be going down the gut at around 35 mph and punch it in second gear and smoke the rear tires for a block.

Then he put some kind of low profile road racing tires on it and man, that thing could really corner. Scared the crap out of me more than once.

He eventually wrecked that car and then found a cherry 1964 Chevelle.
He ended up with a dual top tunnel ram on that one. Scary power.

All this was back around 1978-79.
I heard he died a while back, not sure from what, probably drugs.

I sure miss the days of the V8 and cruising the gut.

Now you have rice burners with big exhaust pipes......

Back in the day, four doors were for your parents. :D

Hi Tom,
Mine had a 350 in place of the 396....
That was way to nice of a car for me at the time...(86')
I was a dummy to sell it, I should have kept it....
most solid vehicle I have ever owned....

In High School I had a blue 1966 Chevy Malibu with 396 and 4-speed, loved that car.

Sold it when I went into the Marines and the kid painted it black but later the car crashed and burned.

A real job? That would require a skill of some sort.

Had an idea. Could you take one of those trash cans behind that motorbike and turn it into a speaker cabinet?

Could probably put a bottom firing 15 or 18 in there if you jacked it up, maybe throw some 24s on there for improved stage presence?
