talbany wrote: ic-racer I thought you posted a nice rundown of the specs of 124 voltages etc..somewhere.
Here is the most accurate info on #124, (quote from Gil based on actual measurements of #124)
4. B+ is 440VDC on the 6L6 plates, which seems low. The remaining plate voltages are: V1A and V1B approximately 190VDC each; V2A and V2B 10 volts higher; on the order of 280VDC for the non-feedback side of the phase inverter plate, and about 10 volts higher for the feedback side.
The amp's power supply caps were changed after these measurements and the resulting measurements are not available. Also, Gill posted he did not hear the amp after the re-cap.

Hi Tony,

Since you've left the door open a crack, I'll make one last suggestion that you add the second grommet for the choke and OT primaries to come through the chassis, and move the OT primary wires from the existing one over to it. That should avoid some confusion for a relatively small effort (I think... I haven't used Visio!)

It looks really great, and I like the added text.

Cheers,

MPM

Another little thing. The manual OD and PAB switches are upside down.

That low-voltage transformer as drawn would deliver 12 volts to the voltage doubler if it is labeled 6-0-6v. Should be labeled "3-0-3v" so as to provide 6 or 6.3v to the voltage doubler.

Nice layout.

But,

On the second relay you have the B+ power going to the anode of the diode.

Don't let that smoke out!

Yes, talbany updated the picture. On the old one You can see what I meant - one extra wire.

Here is another little one. The ground for V6 should come from the 50/100 switch and wind up at star ground #3 (not #2 as shown).

Also, to match the #124 schematic, ground #2 should be the star ground between V4 and V5 (not the sent/return jacks, as indicated).
